WHAT IS (B)STRONG?
(B)STRONG is one of the industry’s safest Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training systems. BFR training is an exercise technique that manipulates the body’s circulatory system. When combined with exercise using light loads, it produces rapid gains in strength and fitness and requires almost no time to set up.
WHY USE (B)STRONG?
(B)STRONG can be used by athletes to help supplement their training or used as a new form of training.
If athletes hit a plateau, (B)STRONG can be integrated into training to help stimulate adaptations. When
using (B)STRONG, athletes are able to perform training with lighter weights reducing the risk of muscle
strain or joint injury. It is the ideal training companion for elderly exercisers who cannot tolerate heavy
weights but can still get the same health benefits from weight training. (B)STRONG can be used for
anyone recovering from injury who want to limit their risk of atrophy and maintain some muscle size
and strength. (B)STRONG blood flow restriction training activates a greater number of muscle fibers
resulting in muscle strength and size.
INCREASES GROWTH HORMONE SECRETION AND AVAILABILITY
INCREASES VASCULAR ENDOTHELIAL GROWTH FACTOR
INCREASES PROTEIN SYNTHESIS AND ANABOLIC SIGNALLING PATHWAYS
ACTIVATES GREATER NUMBER OF MUSCLE FIBERS
STIMULATES MUSCLE HYPERTROPHY
INCREASES IN MUSCLE STRENGTH
HOW DOES (B)STRONG WORK?
(B)STRONG blood flow restriction training works by slowing down the flow of blood exiting the
limbs through the veins using the belt while performing an exercise. Due to a lack of available
oxygen and other nutrients, the muscle fibers fatigue to the point where muscle contraction
cannot continue and other muscle fibers have to take over to perform the exercise. Soon all
fibres in the muscle go into a state of failure.
“BLOOD FLOW RESTRICTION IS A GAME CHANGER”
Studies have found that lifting as low as 20% of maximum strength can produce increases in muscle size and strength similar to that of traditional resistance exercise which uses closer to 70% of an individual’s maximum strength.
“NEW METHOD MAY BENEFIT ATHLETES”
“That has caught the attention of the NFL.” Dr. Matthew Matava, head team physician for the St. Louis Rams and president of the NFL Team Physicians Society, said he is encouraged by BAMC’s early results and believes BFR training could have practical…
“REVOLUTIONARY NEW TRAINING SYSTEM”
“I think it’s the most revolutionary training methodology I’ve ever seen” — Six-time Olympic medalist Bode Miller
“GET BIGGER LIFTING LIGHTER”
“The main benefit of occlusion training is that it actually allows the body to respond to low level intensity exercise – best used…
Those with the following issues should be mindful when using (B)STRONG:
Post-surgery individuals should consult their surgeon or Doctor before starting or resuming (B)STRONG blood flow restriction training.
- Do not put (B)STRONG belts directly on healing incisions or wounds.
- Pregnant women should consult their obstetrician before using (B)STRONG.
- If a person has a condition that has produced lymphedema, he/she should consult their Doctor before proceeding.
